Few days back i attended a seminar organised by THE ECONOMIC TIMES in association with CENTRE OF INNOVATION INCUBATION AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP-IIM(A) AND DEPARTMENT OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY , GOVT OF INDIA AT ST.XAVIERS COLLEGE , KOLKATA FOR GIVING A VIEW OF WHAT ENTREPRENEURSHIP IS ALL ABOUT AND CHALLENGES FACED BY AN ENTREPRENEUR.
THE TALK WAS PRECEEDED BY A GROUP OF EMINENT SPEAKER INCLUDING KEY NOTE SPEAKER SHRI HARSHVARDAN NEOTIA , CHAIRMAN AMBUJA REALTY GROUP,SPEAKERS FROM DEPT.OF SC AND TECHNOLOGY , MANAGER , ENTREPRENEURSHIP,IIM-A , CEO OF VENTURE CAPITALSIT FIRM WERE AMONGST OTHERS.
The seminar was about an introduction to Economic Times "power of ideas" -A platform for Entrepreneurs but in the seminar it was also described by these eminent people who themselves are entrepreneur and some even mentoring 25+ start ups with a vast experience in this fiedl about what all it takes for an entrepreneur to succeed.
I had a great time learning and adding this knowledge which is indeed going to help me in some way or the other in nearby future.
so , i thought of discussing THE ENTIRE SEMINAR in a Nuttshell with all of you Regarding Entrepreneurship.
My observation and conclusion from the presentation are-
1.THE INGRIDIENTS FOR SUCCESS OF AN ENTREPRENEUR ARE - INNOVATION AND MARKETING QUOTED FROM PROF.PETER DRIEGS STATEMENT AS MADE BY AN EMINENT SPEAKER IN THE SESSION
2.To be an Entrepreneur he should be very passionate about his work -ENTHUSIASM , TEAM SPIRIT is a must.
by enthusiasm i mean if he says "i am going to work for twenty hours today even thogh i dont get any success" thats enthusiasm and spirit -Self-driven is a must for success of entrepreneurs.
3.Entrepreneur should not be an alternative to a job seeker.
4.He should Drive his passion to get Success.
5.To start a Start -up more than anything what is important is committment , passion for his work
6.Innovation is important than Invention for an ENtrepreneur.
7.He should maintain a good relationship with his team , motivate them , make work enjoyable to achieve success.
8.Entrepreneurship is a combination of several Traits -Creativity , operational , innovation , marketing
9.lastly one has to Dream Big! and chase his Dream to achieve Success!!
